AMAZWI WETHU -​ "Our Voices" in isiXhosa - is a youth media and social activism workshop based in Khayelitsha, a mostly-informal settlement outside of Cape Town. Amazwi Wethu works in collaboration with Equal Education  ​- a movement of students, parents, teachers and community members advocating for more quality and equitable education throughout South Africa.

 

 

OUR WORKSHOP aims to provide student-members of Equal Education - Equalisers - with media production and advocacy skills to define their movement for better education from their perspectives.
